Join us for the next RECOURSE!
We are pleased to invite you to another unique RECOURSE seminar next week. This time we will have the honour of hosting the esteemed (and, incidentally, friendly) pair of researchers from the University of Manchester, Dr Saska Petrova and Prof. Stefan Bouzarovski.
Event details:
– Date: May 22th (Wednesday),
– Time: 13:00,
– Venue: Faculty of Social Sciences UG, room B214 / online broadcast,
– Seminar topic: “(Im)possible energy geographies: Modalities of social reproduction and precarity”
This presentation will focus on energy spatialities and futures made possible by largely unrecognised, grassroots forms of socially reproductive work across Europe. It will discuss the different forms of socially reproductive and emotional work that energy counsellors do to support people suffering from energy injustice or trying to promote low-carbon development. It will then turn to ongoing debates on alternative energy governance models, critically analysing the socio-environmental transformative potential of energy communities in different geographical regions in times of polycrisis.
The online broadcast will be available at the link:
The meeting is held in collaboration with the EUARENAS project (www.euarenas.eu), funded under the European Union’s Horizon 2020 framework programme (contract no. 959420). We look forward to your presence. see you there!
