Community Reporting workshop
A Community Reporting workshop on the civic budget in Gdansk took place on 19 and 26 March. They were conducted as a part of the EUARENAS international research project.
Community Reporting is a storytelling movement started by the UK’s People’s Voice Media Foundation. In a nutshell, it involves using digital tools to support people in telling their stories. After being introduced to the method, workshop participants interviewed each other, without pre-prepared questions, and talked about their experiences with civic budgeting. The interviews were recorded, and their results will be presented in further reports. In the end, everyone analysed their stories together.
The first workshop was dedicated to the inhabitants of Gdańsk while the second was aimed only at the residents of the Oliwa district. Both meetings were very inspiring and provided a lot of research material. There was also time for refreshments and coffee talks.
Many thanks to all the participants for attending and sharing their experiences and opinions! We would also like to thank the students for their help. Below you can find a photo report from the workshop.
