Within the framework of the urban regeneration course, students of spatial development with the officers from Gdansk City Office conduct the public participation process in three most degraded neighbourhoods in Gdansk.
On 6th of April 2016 as part of RECOURSE we had pleasure to host Dr. Matthias Bernt from Leibniz Institute for Research on Society and Space. Matthias took us for the journey to the London’s Barnsbury, Berlin’s Prenzlauer Berg and some places in Sankt Petersburg, trying to find a links between gentrification and the public policy.
On the 18th June 2015 Department of Economic Geography organised EVALUATE project workshop “Energy vulnerability of urban areas” in cooperation with Metropolitan Institute. The relation, co-authored with dr. Sergio Tirado-Herrero from University of Manchester, was published on the EVALUATE project blog. Similar events took place in Prague, Budapest and Skopje.
